Center for Design and Product Innovation

This center focuses on development and enrichment of student's abilities in design and manufacturing, serving as edubation core for design and product innovation at Faculty of Engineering. The center develops educational curriculum and materials and puts them into practice to develop a new design engineering, linking and combining design education with basic engineering education, as well as innovation engineering, fostering problem-solving abilities, originality, creativity, and cultivation of sensibility through design and manufacturing.

Engineering Education Research Center

The Center collects and analyzes information useful for pioneering educational practices related to mathematics, English, and engineering education etc. which are necessary for engineering students who are in the era of globalization. Based on follow - up surveys on graduates who took undergraduate and graduate school education, we verify the educational effect. It also manages the Salon of Engineering at Yoshida, and does research and planning for the improvement of freshman education at the Faculty of Engineering.

Education and Research Center for Infrastructure Management

Efficient operation and maintenance of infrastructures play a crucial role to sustain our social life safe, secure and vigorous. The basic philosophy of this center is to contribute to local society through management of infrastructures. The center promotes, (1) Research and development on efficient inspection technique, techniques for extending service life of infrastructure, (2) Research and development on management technology concerning efficient infrastructure operation, (3) Education of human resources who support safe and secure society. Furthermore, this center works with the local governments and industries for contribution of keeping safe and secure society as well as creating / promoting the creation of new local industries.

Museum for Ore Mineral

This museum mainly exhibits 20,000 specimens of academic precious ore (Sugaki Ore Collection) as the 70th anniversary commemorative program of the Faculty of Engineering. This museum is open to the public, as a place to learn about the history of the faculty and a place to think toward future creativity. It widely spreads the fruits of research overseas and back to Japan.
